Overview

This asset is a component of MuleSoft Accelerator for Healthcare.

MuleSoft Accelerator for Healthcare enables healthcare providers to unlock critical patient data to build a patient 360 within Salesforce Health Cloud, faster and easier than ever before. The solution includes pre-built APIs, connectors, integration templates, and a prescriptive end-to-end reference architecture to bring patient demographics information and COVID-19 test results from any EHR into Health Cloud using HL7 V2 or FHIR standards.

The solution also provides a library of United States Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI) and FHIR R4 resources to help healthcare developers adhere to interoperability needs and jumpstart the development of healthcare digital transformation initiatives.

Use case covered

Trial-Use Note: The Orders and Observations workgroups wants to make the balloter aware than observations that require the attachment data types are represented by the Media resource instead of Observation. There have been several significant changes to the Media resource in order to align it with Observation and the workflow event pattern including:

 - The addition of the partOf and issued elements.
 - The required type was changed an optional category and the subtype element was renamed to modality.
 - Additional reference targets added to the subject, operator, and basedOn elements
 - The additions of several standard event extensions.

The Media resource contains photos, videos, and audio recordings. It is used with media acquired or used as part of the healthcare process. Here are some typical usages:

  • Photos and videos of diagnostic or care provision procedures for recording purposes
  • Images contained in diagnostic reports

This library is used by FHIR R4 Media API.
